concept: 3,905 sq ft. campus book store serving students, staff and local community members.
solution: Layout was challenging for this project due to complex structural conditions, low ceiling heights and tight transitions points between spaces. Extra circulation space was provide at the entrance and between areas to encourage customer traffic flow. To overcome the lack of visibility to the apparel department a feature area was created to the right of the entrance to introduce the department as customers entered. Graphics provide way finding for departments and created interest in key areas. Large format graphics featuring college landmarks were used to draw the eye and create vistas.
